The property is a terraced two storey building in central London NW and damp was found in the bathroom. The property is a Victorian house converted into two self-contained flats at ground and first floors. The property experienced damp problems from the above bathroom for a number of years. The defect was caused by a very small hole in the pipework. Due to poor maintenance this small leak resulted in a number of joists experiencing extensive wet rot.
Our role was to investigate the cause of dampness for the Building Owners. Together with specifying appropriate remedial works and estimate the cost of repair.
