Client: Private Status: Completed July 2022 Role: PM & Contract Administration Sector: Residential Belgrave Gardens experienced major flood damage. The entire lower ground was submerged in 400 mm of foul and surface water produced via sudden rainfall that caused the below ground drainage to back up and overflow. The works involved the refurbishment of the internal and external areas together the redecoration of the upper floor ceilings that were damaged by water ingress via the terraces. Further the Client also instructed a range of structural alteration as part of the works. This included the opening up of areas, removal of the chimney breasts and repairs to the party wall. The high quality of works involved the appointment of an Interior Designer to ensure the implementation of a sophisticated design. Our role was the building surveyor, project manager and contract administrator. We produced the initial insurance appraisal, followed by the production of specifications and procurement of the contractor. Subsequently the Client instructed us to contract administrate the construction phase. Due to the nature of the structural works we was requested to act as the party wall surveyor in relation to the applicable works.
