Leinster Square provides 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments at £5m. Refurbishment of a Grade II listed building internal and external elements. The previous developer converted the property into a hostel and the listed aspects were not considered. The local authority insisted that all heritage parts were reinstated under our refurbishment. Attention was focused on the lath and plaster walls and ceilings, cornice, wrought iron staircase, portico etc. However, the property was not initially maintained to a good standard and extensive damp problems were uncovered involving wet rot and dry wot.
Our role was the development manager with responsibility for the budget and steering the planning application to approval. In addition, contract administration duties were carried out during the construction phase.
